Bon Jovi – new album “2020” to be released in October – single “Do What You Can” released

News from Bon Jovi! The album “2020”, which has been postponed due to the Corona crisis, will be released on Island Records on October 2, 2020. The band also released a new single, “Do What You Can”, which is available everywhere since yesterday.

“2020” is an album full of hymns and ballads that we are used to from Bon Jovi for decades. But the album also offers more. There is also more to be found at Swiss Casino Online!

Bon Jovi, who is famous for his benevolent work, spent the first days and weeks of the quarantine serving the needy at his JBJ Soul Kitchen Community Restaurant in Red Bank, New Jersey. Jon, who referred to himself as the restaurant’s “hall-of-fame dishwasher,” was captured by his wife Dorothea in a photo that was later published in social media with the caption “If You Can’t Do What You Can… Do What You Can. Because of the enormous feedback on this photo, Jon asked the fans to “write their verse for the song “Do What You Can”, and tell their story. Jon sang the first verse and the chorus, and then received thousands of fan-created verses, both heartbreaking and heartwarming, in a flood of reactions from band members with the #DoWhatYouCan hashtag.

Unique festival in Rattenberg- it can be rocked again- of course by far

A cultural event of the extra class presents itself “by far” in the small town in the Tyrolean lowlands. Until January 2021 there will be regular high-quality cultural events ranging from folk music, rock, pop and country to jazz and classical music. Theatre and cabaret performances are also on the event schedule.

“The event site is fully equipped and ready for any kind of event until January 2021,” explains Markus Klotz, Managing Director of the event specialist “Ganslhaut Event Solutions” in Kundl. The parking lot P3 in the west of Rattenberg (next to the skater park) has been converted into the festival area, a 14 x 6 meter stage set will be adapted accordingly.

“There is something for every taste of music and every age group,” says organiser Mike Sailer. “It is important to us that the local economy benefits and that Rattenberg is revived, because the small town has suffered particularly from the Corona crisis”.

Every Wednesday in July and August summer concerts of the music bands from the region take place at the festival area from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., every Sunday the motto is “fun and enjoyment” during the morning pint from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (admission free in each case). Next weekend, soul, boogie, rock n’roll and blues are on the program with the Sara De Blue’s Band (Friday, July 24) and The Fancy Blues Band (Saturday, July 25). On Friday, August 7th Harry Prünster and the Fabolous Boys make their Tyrolean debut with titles from CCR and AC/DC; on Saturday, August 8th Jabberwalky rock the MitAbstandFestival-Stage.

Catering on the days of the event will be provided by the catering companies from the region

During the course of the festival, the menu includes classics such as grilled chicken, white sausage, schnitzel and roast pork, as well as special local delicacies such as Kiachl’n and Zillertaler Krapfen.

In Rattenberg there are enough parking spaces available. But the festival is also easily accessible by train. From the train stations Rattenberg and Brixlegg it is only a few minutes walk to the festival grounds. Tickets are now available at Mike’s Metal Store in Rattenberg!

I don’t think anyone expected it!

That the Australian hard rock band AC/DC would release the probably most famous hard rock album of all times on 25 July 1980. With 50 million (!) records, it is also the second best-selling record in the world.

The band was in the middle of pre-production when singer Bon Scott was found dead in a car on February 19, 1980. Presumably he died of a strong alcohol poisoning. Angus and Malcolm Young, encouraged by Bon’s parents, quickly started looking for a successor and found Brian Johnson, who was announced as a new band member in April.

The album was dedicated to Bon Scott and the cover was all black in his honour. The album was recorded in just seven weeks at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, while violent tropical storms raged outside. Rock And Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution was composed by Malcolm and Angus on location in just 15 minutes. The remaining songs and riffs were from the time with Bon Scott, which led to an unpleasant rights discussion about the lyrics.

All the tracks on the masterpiece ‘Back In Black’ simply consist of two guitars, bass and drums and the album is still a reference sound for live events today.
